5 Clever Ideas to Save Bathroom Space You can Use Right Now

One of the reasons why most home buyers will look at the bathroom before buying a home is because the room plays an important role in delivering comfort and convenience. With the right design, the bathroom can be a perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day at work.

However, when you have limited space, you may find it incredibly challenging when looking to design the space in a way that will meet your needs. You will need to come up with creative ways of using the available space effectively. Here are some ideas to help you do so.

Sliding door and custom-fit shelves

While the swing of a traditional door will take up some floor space, a sliding door will help you save room. The design of the door makes it possible for you to use the floor space for other things. This gives you room to move around and store more items.

It is important to have adequate storage space in your bathroom for towels, toiletries, soaps and other items. If you want to save on space, you can go for custom-fit shelves. Make sure the shelf is high enough to allow you store everything in an organized way.

Wall-mounted toilet and a shower

Wall-mounted toilets have become a common feature when it comes to saving bathroom space. Although the toilets are petite, they are strong enough once they have been installed. You can also include a grinding or macerating pump to increase the convenience you enjoy when in the bathroom.

Rather than going for a bath, you should opt for a shower when working with limited space. If you decide to install a shower, you should also add an enclosure to ensure that the room does not get splashed.

Expand the mirror

Expanding the mirror in your bathroom will do more than just enhancing the aesthetic appeal and creating the impression of a bigger room. The mirror will work well in tight spaces, allowing two people to use the bathroom at once. This will help you to make better use of the available space as well as to save time.

Mount the towel bar or hook on a door

Although you may have a good number of towels in a closet, it is important to have another one within easy reach. However, if your bathroom is small, you will have to think of ways to save space when doing this. Mounting a towel bar or hook on the door will ensure that the towel dries off and help you save valuable space.

Choose furniture and accessories wisely

All the accessories and furniture you choose for your bathroom should help you save space. Apart from making sure that they are made to fit, it will be important to include only the necessary items.

One of the most important steps to take if you want to save bathroom space is to keep it simple. This means getting rid of clutter that would make the room look disorganized.

In addition to saving bathroom space, you should also consider creating the impression of a bigger room. You can achieve this by using mirrors and allowing more light into the bathroom.
