There are many options of floor styles you can pick today. Even with just a hardwood floor, we have material options for real wood, laminate, vinyl and vinyl plank etc.?By picking the same color same style of flooring material it definitely gives uniformity to your space and connects the different rooms/sections smoothly.

However, it will look boring and priggish especially when you have a big space. There are people would have concerns of picking too many different materials and styles for the floor. It is definitely more risky to make your whole floor into multiple colors. So what can we do to avoid the boring and priggish looking floor and still play a safe card to make our floor look unique, lovely, fun and fantastic? You should always know we never stop pursuing the better options at interiorideas.net. Today, let’s get together to find out some solutions!

Hardwood floors with a herringbone pattern

This is one of the lowest risk options among three solutions we are going to talk about today. The color will be the same, this provides the smooth connection feeling of each section but of course, with more fun. The uniformity of the color treats the room scheme as a blank canvas, you can go ahead “paint” the different colors on top of it.

If you think that this is too much of this pattern, even though you like it, you don’t want to make the whole area into it. No worries, we can do part of the herringbone pattern combined with the traditional pattern, so we get the fun part and also the traditional part. One usually puts the herringbone pattern in the middle and surrounds it with the traditional pattern.

You can choose to do the same thing here as combining the different pattern and the traditional pattern, too. As you can see in some of these photos, different color pieces are used in the combination. By choosing similar color tones, you can create a unique look that doesn’t look too risky.

However, there are always people who are more adventurous and have the spirit of exploration when it comes to colors and materials. When you are willing to take a higher amount of risk, you may be rewarded by something that looks gorgeous, unique, amazing, lovely… I am out of beautiful wards to describe it. Let take a look these floors together.

The floor with tiles and hardwood can be used to divide the different areas. Tiles is considered more tough and water proof, and the hardwood floor brings warmth into the space. You can use a tile floor at any entry way or even in the living room.

As you know, tiles come in more shapes than hardwood floor pieces, they are not only in rectangular, but also come in square, hexagon, and other non-standard tile shapes.
It opens an opportunity to combine the tile floor and the hardwood floor in a more creative way.
