Prepare the surface: The first step is to start cleaning the wall or the surface on which you are going to be applying the peel and stick wallpaper. Remove any dust, dirt or grease with a mild water and soap solution. You have to allow the solution to dry completely on the walls. If there are many imperfections on the wall, correct them using a spackle or putty to fill them in and use sandpaper to smooth the surface out.

Measure and cut: The next step is to measure the wallpaper that is going to be applied on the walls. For this, you have to measure the height and width of the wall and add a few inches to both dimensions so that any trimming and adjustment can be made after the wallpaper has been applied completely.

Start at the corner: You have to start from the top corner of the wallpaper strip. Align the exposed and sticky edge to the top corner of the wall and press it into proportion.

Apply the wallpaper: Slowly move the wallpaper downward a few inches at a time and use your credit card to smooth any bubbles that form on the surface. Work your way through the whole wall step by step. If you are working on the whole room then start with one wall and then move to the next.

Trim excess wallpaper: Once the entire wallpaper is applied use a scissor or a cutter to trim the extra edges of the wallpaper.

Repeat the process: Continue applying the floral peel and stick wallpaper strip by strip until you have covered the whole wall. Make sure that the pattern is aligned according to the wall.
