How to Style Your Bedroom with Dried Flowers

Flowers are a great way to decorate a home, bring the outdoors in, and generally make a space cozier. While many people will opt for fresh flowers, adding preserved grasses and flowers can be just as good, if not better. In addition to looking good, these dried flowers can often last much longer and do not need to be changed out every week or two like fresh flowers.

Using the best dried flowers can make a space look incredible, and provide a sense of uniqueness that traditional flowers simply don’t. These dried flowers can be used anywhere, but one of the best places is certainly your bedroom.

With that in mind, this article is going to go over a few tips and ways for how you can use dried flowers to style your bedroom and ensure it looks incredible.

Add Them to a Shelf

One of the most tried and true methods for displaying flowers (fresh or dried), is to put them up on a shelf or mantle in a vase of some kind. This gives them height and ensures they are one of the highlights of your space. This placement gives them the attention they deserve, and ensures they are on full display and can always be seen.

If you feel like putting them in a vase on the shelf is too boring, there are other options that can still look wonderful with dried flowers. You can lay them down in a container of some kind, tie them together, or display them in any other way that you see fit.

Also, while there are several flowers bad for those with allergies, you don’t need to worry about this with dried flowers. This is because they don’t contain any pollen, and thus shouldn’t irritate anyone. As a result, don’t hesitate using them throughout your home decor.

Have Them on Your Desk

If you have a desk in your bedroom where you do some work, art, or schoolwork, that can be another great place to put dried flowers on display. Having something beautiful and natural to look at while working can make it much more bearable, and put you in a better headspace.

A desk and working environment that is all-business, can be a little boring and a space like this in your room can often take away from the overall appeal and aesthetic of the bedroom. Adding some plants and other decor to your work space can help it flow better with the rest of the room.

Add Some Tall Pampas Grass in a Large Pot

While there are plenty of different types of dried flowers and plants to put on display, one of the most common is pampas grass. It has a wispy and whimsical look, and is neutral enough in color that it can fit with almost anything. It often looks the best when placed in a large planter in the corner of a room, where it can take up space without getting in the way.

This can contribute to a serene and relaxing bedroom design and if you have the floor space for it, should be something you consider. They are very eye-catching, and they can instantly transform the look and feel of your bedroom.

Keep Small Dried Flowers in Jars

While pampas is quite large and pronounced, not all dried flowers demand as much space and attention. You can find much smaller kinds of dried flowers you can use if your space is limited or you prefer something a little more subtle.

One of the best ways to display these flowers in your bedroom is to put them in small jars. This could be a mason jar, an empty candle jar, or any other small container you can find. This provides the beauty of a plant in your room, without it dominating the space.

Put Them in Picture Frames

Among the best ways to display dried flowers is to press them and put them in a picture frame. They can be put into a clear frame, or glue them to some paper and put them into a standard photo frame. Both can look great, and are great for a bedroom where there are no free shelves or mantles present.

This will look elegant, and allows you to essentially create a custom piece of art to hang on the wall, featuring your favorite dried flowers. They can also look wonderful when added into a shadow box. These can last for years in many cases, and will look stunning with almost any sort of decor.

Hang Them From the Ceiling or Wall

In addition to hanging these flowers in a frame from the wall, you can skip the frame altogether. You can hang them upside down by attaching them directly to the wall, which creates a stunning feature wall that is sure to draw a ton of attention and admiration.

Also, many people will hang these flowers from their ceiling, which can look great. If you dry your own flowers, you will know that hanging them upside down is a step in the process. So instead of taking the flowers down and moving them, simply leave them hanging for a unique-looking decor option. You can hang them in front of windows, in cabinets, or right in the middle of your room, that choice is yours.

Dried flowers and potpourri

Use Them in Potpourri

Another great idea for adding dried flowers to your bedroom is to turn them into potpourri. This can be done by simply mixing the dried flowers of your choosing with herbs and/or oils. Then simply add the mixture to a basket or container of some kind, and you’re done.

In addition to looking great and being an accessory, this can also help your bedroom smell incredible. Your bedroom is a place to relax and wind down, and filling it with a subtle and calming scent is always a good idea.

In conclusion, we hope that these tips have been able to help you utilize dried flowers to style your bedroom and make sure it looks incredible.
