Have you ever thought that why is Denmark ranked as one of the happiest countries in the world despite cold and dull climate? That?s probably because of hygge. Hygge refers to creating a soothing and charming atmosphere around you. It?s about any activity that makes you feel content and realize a moment. It?s about appreciating what you have. It?s about enjoying the simple things- remaining in cozy warm blanket, enjoying a cup of tea with a book, or burning a candle while having dinner- things that you really enjoy.

Hygge House:

The concept of hygge is also incorporated in home. Its abut creating a simple, comfortable and relaxing environment for whole family. In this regard, Baytree Interiors give great ideas and tips to hygge your home. Consider the following ideas:

Hygge

Choose Perfect Materials:

Introducing natural materials and textures in your room like wood or leather work, combined with cozy textures like cable knits, faux fur and fluffy rugs.

Special Sitting Areas:

You can create sitting area by dividing open spaces and creating cozy and comfortable hygge. Few fluffy pillows and soft rugs will suit the best.

The Colors:

Simple and natural colors are neutral such as light brown, grey and cream colors are ideal schemes for hygge affect. It is not necessary that you chose a certain design. You must FEEL the hygge atmosphere.

The Lighting:

It?s very important to have comparatively low intensity lights to create hygge environment. For this purpose, go for lamps or candles. Remember: sharp lights kill the hygge affect. The Danes are quite fond of candles.

Friends and Family:

The concept of hygge also means that you feel content in life; spend time with your friends and family. Cooking some delicious wholesome meals during winters, and share with everyone is one of the better ways to hygge.

Pick a New Hobby:

Picking up a new hobby is also a great idea. Sitting besides the fire, listening to some light music gives soothing impact to your nerves. Apart from these, crafting hobbies like knitting and sewing is also very popular. The best thing is that you can involve your whole family with you in the moment of hygge.

You Must FEEL Hygge:

If you cannot feel it, it is not hygge. Winter is the best season to feel it. You can enjoy the cup of tea while sitting on a cozy pillow. The sun rays coming through the atrium.

Hygge beside Fire Place:

What else can be good if you feel the hygge along the fire place? You can enjoy watching the snowy weather while sitting along with fireplace.

Enjoy What You Have:

While remaining busy in daily life, hygge in winter lets you enjoy the blessings. You enjoy the calm, slow, and leisure moments of life. There remains no need to rush and you don?t ?feel? to be rush for anything. The best moments, be it laughing with friends, enjoy the coziness of pillow or drinking tea at morning.
